Founded in Stockholm in 2005, Form Us With Love is an international design studio that uses design to address practical needs and challenge established ways of making things. Its approach combines creative experimentation with an understanding of materials, production and how objects are used.
We are driven by an idea-focused approach to design, where experimentation and cross-border projects are encouraged. Important aspects of our philosophy include durability, curiosity, and humanism.
Form Us With Love: Rethinking the Familiar
Founded in Stockholm in 2005, Form Us With Love approaches design as a way to solve problems and improve everyday objects. The studio combines creative development with research into materials, manufacturing and use, looking for opportunities to reconsider established product types rather than simply changing their appearance.
This approach can be seen in the studio's Unfold pendant for Muuto. The familiar industrial pendant form is reinterpreted in soft silicone rubber, replacing the rigidity normally associated with this type of lighting with a flexible material and a softer expression. The result retains the recognisable proportions and direct downward light of an industrial pendant while giving the familiar form a distinctly different character.
